Week 4 of November Unplugged: What Did You Learn?
We’ve made it to the final stretch of our November Unplugged Challenge! This is the week where gratitude, busyness, and reflection collide as Thanksgiving—and the whirlwind holiday season—take center stage.
For me, this means kids are home all week, the kitchen is always open, and holiday decorations are appearing. I love it. All of it. I fully channel the trifecta of Martha Stewart, Ina Garten, and Sandra Lee. It’s joyful and fulfilling, but let’s be honest, it’s also a lot. As the holidays unfold, let’s carry what we’ve learned into the season ahead: a little less screen, a little more connection, and a lot of intention.
Reflect & Celebrate
As we close out this challenge, take a moment to pause and reflect on the journey.
What did you learn about yourself through this exercise?
What habits or practices do you want to carry forward?
What was the hardest part for you?
And what are you thrilled to go back to?
I started this challenge knowing I could use a reset, and now, as the month wraps up, I have a confession. I completely fell off the challenge. Partially because I felt like I was so disconnected from the news and then because, well, habits. And I fully realized I was doing this as I did it. So here's what this month has looked like for me: I opened my phone mindlessly 16 times on the first day, and that dropped to almost zero until the election. Then it spiked to an unhealthy place and is now back to more manageable, more thoughtful consumption. I have cut myself off when mindlessly scrolling. I have adopted the mindset of being aware, not consumed. And I gave myself some grace - watching TikTok on a flight just hits different.
Whatever your experience has been, I hope this month has helped you find even a small moment of clarity, gratitude, or peace.
Thank You for Joining Me
It’s always easier to tackle a challenge when you’re not doing it alone. Thank you for coming along for this ride. Whether you followed every prompt or simply reflected on the idea of being more present, I’m grateful to have shared this journey with you.
Cheers to wrapping up this challenge and stepping into the next chapter with presence and purpose.
xoxo,
Meghan
