November Unplugged, Week 2: An Attitude of Gratitude

We’re rolling into Week 2 of November Unplugged—how’s it going? Are you noticing any changes in how you spend your time (or how often you reach for your phone)? This week has been hard for me to maintain no screen time, so I limited my time on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Week 2’s Focus: Expressions of Gratitude

If you're open to it: With a little extra time on our hands this week, let’s go deeper into the gratitude exercise. Write one letter each day to someone you’re grateful for. It can be a family member, an old friend, a mentor, or anyone who has made a difference in your life. The letters don’t have to be sent (but they can be!).

You might be surprised at how different it feels to take pen to paper. It’s a pause to connect with memories and emotions we often let drift by. And if writing isn’t your thing, or too time-consuming, send an “I appreciate you because…” text message.

As always, make this your own, and enjoy the process without pressure.

Podcast Look Ahead:

The next two episodes of Wait - What Do You Do Again? (11/12 and 11/19) features Mr. Ben Lesser, a 96-year-old Holocaust survivor, who details his experience. We spoke for over 2 hours and were not able to cover everything. If you're interested in his complete story, you can purchase his memoir (physical book, ebook, audio) here.

Enjoy your week of reflection, gratitude, and reconnection.

xoxo,

Meghan
